Common - Ghetto Dreams (Ft. Nas)

When Common released a teaser of this song 2 months ago, people were waiting for waht seemed like forever for the release of the full song; no luck.  Nas was equally impatient and on Friday night he tweeted @Common asking for permission to release the song.  Common never responded and Nas released the single.

Gang Starr - Moment of Truth

Haven't been posting much (sorry), but there really hasn't been any good new music coming out, and I'm not gonna post up any trash.  Regardless, we'll take it back to 1998; the duo of DJ Premier and Guru, better known as Gang Starr release their fifth studio album titled Moment of Truth.  Although they were often overshadowed by better known rappers of the time (like Biggie and Tupac) the album reached the number one spot on the US Billboard top 200.  The album produced a couple singles including Moment of Truth.

With Finally Famous: The Album dropping on the 28th Big Sean fans (me) had a lot to be excited about.  Yesterday Sean announced that he will also be releasing a 10 track mixtape, the night before the release of his album!

I'm having a Wiz Khalifa day.  I was starting to lose interest in him (mainly his newer songs) but then I found a CD with some older Wiz.  I re-downloaded some of his mixtapes (Prince of the City 2, Flight School & Star Power) and came across this song (again).  Definitely one of my all-time favourite Wiz songs.

French Montana - I'm On It (Ft. Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa & Nipsey Hustle)

This is a perfect song for a tuesday; not too mainstream and not to gangsta.  I first heard this song about a year ago but then I forgot about it until about 3 minutes ago haha.  Sick song though, Wiz & Big Sean go hard (thats not to say that everyone else isn't good) and French Montana sings a pretty good hook.

The Game - Where I'm From (Ft. Nate Dogg)

Its been a few years now since The Documentary was released, but everyone probably still remembers the hit songs from that album like Hate It Or Love It and How We Do.  Where I'm From never blew up like the others, but its a dope song (smoothest on the album?) and worth listening to.  Enjoy.

Big K.R.I.T. - Country Shit Remix (Ft. Ludacris & Bun B)

Big K.R.I.T. (King Remembered In Time) has been around the rap scene since 2005, but never receieved a whole lot of attention until earlier this year when he dropped his self produced mixtape Return Of 4eva, which recieved praise from fans and critiques, most notably Slant Magazine which said that Return Of 4eva was "the rap album to beat in 2011".
